WadeGair were invited by YozuMannion to speak at the “Mobilising for RH/HIV Integration” TA Workshop at the IOD in London on 26th January 2009. Chris Gair presented the options and choices available for an online Consultants Database, including how this can be achieved quickly and cost-effectively.
An extremely interesting and enjoyable meeting with Chioma Nwachukwu and Ukwori Kalu Onuma from Friends Africa, Christopher Agweyu and Susan Ng’ang’a from IPPF and hosting, David Daniels and Charlotte Laurence from YozuMannion.
Both IPPF Africa, Friends Africa and YozuMannion all face a simlar challenge which is ultimately faced by all organisations as they grow – how do we efficiently store, search and report on our data? This problem is compounded when your organisation is geographically distributed! All organisations need to address this issue and there are varied solutions but at WadeGair we believe that a well scoped, specified and online database provides the best fit to this question.
The meeting was a valuable discussion and we hope that the collective group are now better placed to implement a solution as soon as they can. Also a big thanks to YozuMannion and Sarah Williams for organising the meeting.
