I spent a very enjoyable morning yesterday teaching our clients at YozuMannion how to use the WordPress system along with the basic rules of blogging. We spent a couple of hours finding out just how easy it is to content manage and maintain your website via WordPress which uses blog technology and is incredibly user-friendly and easy to learn.

I am beginning to realise that blogging is like exercise, dieting, New Year’s resolutions and managing a reward system for your child – it is something you start with the best intentions but that can get dropped when your time is squeezed and you are under pressure.
Can the internet really change the world?

I grew up in what I saw as the heady days of the 1980s, in the era of Band Aid, Live Aid, Free Nelson Mandela and the Sharpville Six. And when I was 16 I really believed that music could change the world. Well obviously it didn’t – and we still have Bono and events like Live8 trying to bring about change.
Falling in love with your clients

Or rather more accurately, not actual clients because that could lead to all sorts of complications and awkwardness, but their businesses. I have worked with a wide range of businesses over my 10 years in digital media and I have fallen in love with each business and I think this is an essential part of what I do. It helps if you admire, respect and feel passionate about something that you are trying to market, promote and sell or else you can’t be a real ambassador for that company.
