Project Details

This project has seen us working with PATHS2, a health programme in Nigeria being funded by the UK Government’s Department for International Development or DFID. Led by the US company Abt Associates, we were tasked with assessing how the programme is communicating and reporting both internally and externally in order to define a strategy for improving their communications process in the future.

As part of this project we travelled to Nigeria and spent time with the team, predominantly Nigerians, who are delivering this complex programme in country. We helped them to identify what stories they should be telling about their many achievements, how they should gather those story, how they should share them and how they can track them over time.

We looked at internal reporting processes and external communications activities. We provided training and guidelines for news gathering and how to write a variety of news communications from press releases, to case studies, to online articles. We created a Communications Strategy and Rationale, a strategy for the PATHS2 website and the first issue of an Information Pack that includes information about the programme, Nigeria, the focal States, the different Team Leaders and a Chronology of Events.
